The Pope will visit Bahrain in November to participate in a dialogue forum

Pope Francis will make his first trip as a pope from the Vatican to the Kingdom of Bahrain from November 3 to 6, where he will take part in a meeting for dialogue between the East and the West.
Director of the Vatican Press Matteo Bruni said on Wednesday that Pope Francis would visit Bahrain from November 3 to November 6 at the invitation of the civil and religious authorities.
Pope Francis, 85, has made communication with the Muslim world a priority during his time as pope.

He just got back from Kazakhstan, where the majority religion is Islam, where he attended an interfaith summit.
By travelling to Abu Dhabi in 2019, Pope Francis made history by being the first pontiff of the Vatican to visit the Gulf. There, he penned a historic agreement with the Sheikh of Al-Azhar and vowed Catholic and Islamic cooperation in the pursuit of peace.

Pope Francis will travel to Bahrain, where he will visit the city of Al-Awali and the capital, Manama, and take part in the “Bahrain Forum for Dialogue: East-West Dialogue for Human Coexistence.”
At a later time, more information on the visit, which will mark the Pope’s 39th travel abroad during his pontificate, will be made public.
King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain was met by Pope Francis at the Vatican in 2014. “Peace and stability in the Middle East” was the topic of conversation.

In November, the Pope will travel to Bahrain to take part in a dialogue event.
