This occurred at a meeting between the Japanese Environment Minister Akihiro Nishimura and the Egyptian Ambassador to Japan, Mohamed Bakr, that was held in Tokyo.

The Minister of Transport expressed his condolences for the passing of the former Japanese Prime Minister “Shinzo Abe” during the meeting, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on its official Facebook page today, Thursday. The ministry emphasised Egypt’s solidarity with Japan in light of the close ties and strong ties that bind the two nations. the two nations.

At the same time, he conveyed Egypt’s gratitude to Japan for its support of numerous significant development initiatives across many industries that include environmental concerns or are associated with the green economy, including the transportation sector.

In a related vein, the Minister of Transport went over the three initiatives Egypt launched in connection with the summit’s preparations, highlighting Egypt’s unceasing efforts to address the issue of accounting for environmental aspects in various national projects, including the transportation industry, which focuses on extending all services that adhere to standards. environmental.

The Japanese Minister of Environment, for his part, thanked Egypt for hosting this significant gathering and emphasised his desire for his nation to actively participate in the upcoming climate summit in Sharm El Sheikh.
The Japanese minister also noted a number of initiatives that the summit-attending delegation will be announcing.

Through a special pavilion to display the newest technologies and solutions in the fight against climate change, which will focus on the needs of developing countries, especially with regard to adaptation and burden mitigation, he announced the participation of a number of Japanese companies in the conference. .
