Eighth person arrested in Megan Gallagher case

As of the announcement of Robin Tyler John’s arrest by the Saskatoon Police Service, eight people have been charged in the Megan Gallagher investigation.
The 34-year-old guy was detained on an unrelated sentence, according to police, who claimed they travelled to a prison on the Beardy’s and Okemasis’ Cree Nation Monday to make the arrest.
In the Megan Gallagher case, John was accused of serious assault and unlawful imprisonment.
He was transferred to Saskatoon, according to police, and is still being held.

In this case, three people have now been detained and charged in as many days. According to the detectives, further detentions are likely as the investigation progresses.
Gallagher is being actively sought in the St. Louis region.
Police from Saskatoon’s serious crime unit will organise a thorough search of the South Saskatchewan River and its banks in the St. Louis region.

The search will be aided by a number of civilian search and rescue workers, members of the Provincial Protective Services, and specially trained K9 teams from the Calgary Police Service.
The hunt is expected to last four days, starting on Thursday and ending on Sunday. Daytime hours will be used for the search. The general people should stay away from the area since this is a search of a possible crime scene.

Contact Saskatoon police at 306-975-8300 if you have any information, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to make an anonymous complaint.
