The “Savi” Group for Electronic Games’ Chairman of the Board of Directors, the Crown Prince, reportedly unveiled the organization’s plan today. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the plan “represents a key component of our ambitious strategy to transform the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia into a global centre for the games and e-sports sector by 2030.”


Bin Salman stated that the organisation aims to “Utilize the enormous potential of the sports and video game industries to diversify the sources of our income, advance industry innovation, and increase the standard of e-sports entertainment events and contests provided by the Kingdom.


The main goals of the strategy of the group associated with the Public Investment Fund, according to the Saudi Agency, are to “Encourage investment in the games and e-sports industries, create a long-term investment plan and effectively use capital within the industry, offer opportunities for participation, build partnerships in the industry, and enhance the player experience.

The organisation “will aim to build 250 companies for electronic games in the Kingdom, providing 39,000 jobs, and raising the sector’s contribution to the gross domestic product to 50 billion riyals by 2030,” according to the agency.
