Online voting for Peterborough municipal election opens Oct. 1; advance polls Saturdays

Online voting for the City of Peterborough municipal election will start on October 1; in contrast, early voting locations will be open every Saturday in October up until election day.
The day of the municipal election is October 24.
Visit Peterborough to cast an online ballot. Ca/vote starts on October 1 at midnight. Online voting is still available through October 24 at 8 p.m.
Advance voting will start at 10 a.m. on the following Saturdays: Oct. 8, Oct. 15, and Oct. 22. m. to 4 p. m.

Elections for posts on the city council and school board are open to all Peterborough residents, property owners, and tenants who are at least 18 years old.
Voters must visit one of their designated voting centres based on the ward where they are registered to vote for in-person voting on election day and advance voting days.

According to the city, registered voters are receiving voter notification cards in the mail, and they should arrive within the final week of September.
Because voter notification cards include a distinct voter ID and PIN as part of the security procedure, they are necessary to vote online.
Voters who don’t receive their card by October 3 are asked to visit the Voter Registration Portal or call the election staff at 705-742-7777 and dial 7.

There will be no use of paper ballots in the surrounding municipalities, which all use online and telephone voting.
Voting will take place in City of Kawartha Lakes on Friday, October 14 at 9 a.m. m. and until October 24 at 8 p.m. Touch-screen voting kiosks are provided at a number of locations throughout the municipality, including city hall in Lindsay, for people without a phone or internet access.
Voting will take place in Cavan-Monaghan Township on October 11 at 10 am. m. till 8 p.m. on October 24.

Voting will take place in Otonabee-South Monaghan Township from October 11 through October 24 at 8 p.m.
Selwyn Township: The voting period is from October 11 till October 24 at 8:00 p.m.
Voting will be available in Douro-Dummer Township on October 11 until 8 p.m. on Oct. 24. The municipal office will host electronic voting terminals for use by the general public during the voting period, according to the township.
Town of Cobourg: Polls open at 9 a.m. on Friday, October 14. m. till 8 p.m. on October 24.
Port Hope Municipality: Election day is October 14 at 10 a.m. m.
