In light of the present global problems, former World Bank President Jim Yong Kim declared that it is no longer possible to eradicate poverty in the world by the year 2030.
Jim Yong Kim discussed the problems the world is currently facing and the solutions to them, highlighting how the international efforts to end poverty by 2030 are being hampered by the current crises that humanity is experiencing on a global scale.
This occurred at a discussion on “How to be Struggles for Change” during the 11th session of the International Forum for Government Communication, which was held under the theme “Challenges and Solutions.”
Jim Young emphasised that the UAE has demonstrated its leadership and global dominance in overcoming international crises, as it was the best in the face of the Covid 19 pandemic, as it prepared carefully studied health policies and distributed vaccines to all residents without exception. Jim Young also stated that the UAE is characterised by a wise leadership that leads societies with confidence and that the state’s youth Qualified to drive development, development, and leadership processes.
He continued by saying that the world can overcome the difficulties presented by major crises by being ready and supporting developing nations at the same time. He made this point despite the fact that advanced technologies were unable to protect poor countries from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, which claimed the lives of more than 6 million people worldwide.
Jim asserted that although the world system is ever-changing and there are patterns and laws that govern it, the harmony among world leaders is sufficient to bring about positive change that ensures stability and resolves international crises. He noted that the recent pandemic has demonstrated that cooperation between nations is the only way to successfully address the most pressing issues facing humanity.
Jim Young expressed the following opinion about emerging markets: “Despite the structural and legal challenges they face, it has been determined that more than half of the world’s capital was in developing countries, and that their growth rates now are higher than those of advanced economies.
