Russian Prosecutor’s Office begins investigation into the “North Stream” gas leak

The investigation into the damage to the “North Stream 1 and 2” gas pipelines, which pump Russian gas to Europe with a stretch in the waters of Denmark and Sweden, has been launched, according to the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office.
The “North Stream” pipeline, which runs from Russia to Germany, saw two undersea explosions on Tuesday that resulted in a gas leak, according to the Swedish Seismological Center.

There have undoubtedly been explosions, according to Bjrn Lund, a representative for the Swedish Seismological Centre.
Lund verified that there were no military exercises in the vicinity of the disaster, which may have theoretically damaged pipes, but passing vessels reported the fire to the coast guard.
A reduction in gas pressure across the “North Stream 1 and 2” pipelines was previously stated by Nord Stream AG.

The “North Stream” lines in the northeast and southeast of Bornholm Island were found to have two gas leaks, according to information from the Danish and Swedish authorities.
