Biden directs to increase available resources after Hurricane Ian approaches Florida

In order to better prepare for Hurricane Ian’s potential effects as it approaches Florida and to aid in reaction and recovery operations following the storm, US President Joe Biden issued a directive to the chiefs of all federal agencies.
According to a statement posted on the White House website on Wednesday, Paine spoke by phone with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Florida Mayors on the subject of preparations for Hurricane Ian.

Within hours of receiving the request from Governor DeSantis last Saturday, Biden issued a declaration of emergency for the state of Florida in order to boost preparedness efforts and make sure resources are provided in advance for the effects of the anticipated storm.
FEMA is cooperating with other departments of the federal government under the direction of President Biden to support local and state preparedness. Everyone is urged by the president and management to abide by the requests of regional authorities.

After Hurricane Ian threatens Florida, Biden orders an increase in resources.
