It is worth noting that the Minister of Culture has decided to allocate a major prize for the competition in the name of the founder and owner of the competition, the late singer, the able artist Mohsen Farouk, in appreciation of his role in establishing the competition, and being one of the knights of defending Egypt’s musical identity and heritage, and from the first generation of the Arab Music Ensemble in the Egyptian Opera House.

The competition is also directed to talented youth from 18 to 38 years, and the selection will be made from the two applicants in two phases, the first: the contestant providing one of the works of Arab music, and the second: the presentation of the contestant “Tatqqouqa”, a role or a manner in addition to a poem..
