Britain prohibits Chinese surveillance cameras in “sensitive” government sites

Orders were issued for British government departments to stop the installation of surveillance cameras made by Chinese companies in “sensitive sites” due to security concerns.
The British “BA Media” agency reported that the matter applies to the “surveillance cameras” made by companies subject to the Chinese National Security Law, which requires companies to cooperate with security services in Beijing.

The British government ministries have been informed that the equipment that exists the basic networks of the departments should not be linked and the situation must be taken into account completely.
The Duke of Lancaster, Oliver Doden, has announced this shift in politics, which comes after anxiety in Westminster about the use of Chinese -made equipment.

“The government security group conducted a review of the current and future security risks associated with the installation of surveillance cameras in government real estate,” Duden told members of Parliament.
He continued, “The review concluded that in light of the threat to the United Kingdom and increasing the ability and delivery of these systems, it is necessary to have more controls. ”
This step comes in the wake of fears raised by members of Parliament and a supervisory body..
