Egyptian Publishers: Those who applied to participate in the Cairo Book Fair 2023 have been absorbed

Saeed Abdo, President of the Egyptian Publishers Union, said that the door for participation in the Cairo International Book Fair 2023 in its 54th session is still open and until now all those who have applied to participate in this session have been absorbed.

Saeed Abdo said in exclusive statements to “The Seventh Day”, that the subscription not only concerns the Egyptians, but the participants come from Arab and foreign publishers, adding that it is the Egyptian General Book Authority will hold a meeting during the next week to discuss the date of closing the door of participation in the exhibition.

Saeed Abdo continued, during the meeting, we will also review the plans that we will implement to accommodate all publishing houses wishing to participate, indicating that the numbers of applicants to participate in the book exhibition will be known, whether from Egypt, Arabs or foreigners.

It is worth noting that the Higher Committee of the Cairo International Book Fair decided to chair it to allocate a complex wing in the 54th session of the exhibition for the small advanced publishing houses for participation, and the terms of subscription did not meet in terms of the number of publications.

This came within the framework of the ministry’s plan and the Egyptian General Book Authority to support the publishing industry, and Egyptian publishers in general, to give an opportunity for all publishing houses to participate in the annual Book Day, which is the largest and most important book exhibition in the Middle East..
