Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Burita, in the Moroccan city of Fez, renewed the confirmation of Morocco’s clear and supportive position in Yemen and the role of the presidential council and the legitimate government.
Burita stressed, in press statements after discussions he held with the Yemeni Foreign Minister, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, “Morocco’s support for Yemen’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty, and denouncing all attempts by the Houthi terrorist group, and everyone who supports it against the stability of Yemen and the reassurance of its citizens.
”
He also stressed that the solution to the Yemeni crisis must be based on dialogue and the agreed international and Arab references, and within the framework of respecting legitimacy in Yemen represented by the Presidential Council and the government, noting that Morocco will always stand by Yemen, in implementation of the instructions of King Mohammed VI.
The Moroccan minister pointed out the importance of relations between the two countries as a valuable heritage for Moroccans and Yemenis, calling for their development and the activation of mechanisms of cooperation and political dialogue..
