The Arab League lights its headquarters in orange to combat violence against women

The Secretariat of the League of Arab States- Social Sector- Women’s Administration holds the fourth consecutive meeting to celebrate the effectiveness of the launch of the headquarters of the Arab States headquarters in Cairo within the activities of the “16-day” campaign against violence against women for the year 2022, in cooperation with the regional office of the United Nations Women’s Authority for Arab countries and the office Regional for the Arab countries of the United Nations Population Fund and the High Commissioner for Refugee Affairs.

The event will also witness this year the launch of the “Arab Strategy for Prevention and Response to Combating all forms of Violence in the Setting of asylum, especially sexual violence against women and girls” that were prepared in joint cooperation between the General Secretariat and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, tomorrow, Thursday, November 24, 2022 at exactly the hour Half thirty in the evening as a sign of solidarity and full commitment to this important issue in our Arab region.

The world also celebrates the 16 -day campaign against violence against women, which kicks off on the International Day of Violence against Women on November 25 and ends on December 10, corresponding to World Human Rights Day.
