Lavrov arrives in Armenia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived today in the Armenian capital, Yerevan, on an official visit, which will include the attendance of the Group Security Treaty Organization.
Lavrov will participate in a joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Organization’s Defense Ministers and Secretaries of the National Security Councils of Member States, according to Russia today.

It is expected that the participants in the meeting will discuss the political situation in the areas of collective security, and the organization’s activity between the courses.
The summit will discuss a large package of decisions related to foreign policy, military cooperation and combating terrorism within the framework of the organization aimed at promoting and developing the collective security system.

On November 23, the organization’s group security council will be held in Yerevan headed by Prime Minister Nicole Pashinian.
It is expected that the session will be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Qassem Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Saddir Jabbarov, and Tajikistan President Imam Ali Rahmoun..
