Today, Sunday, the 22nd edition of the World Cup, scheduled to be held in Qatar, will start with the participation of 32 teams and will continue until December 18. 32 national teams have been divided into 8 groups, each group of 4 teams from different continents of the world.

The World Cup 2022 is the first ever to be held in the Arab world, and the second that is held in the continent of Asia after the 2002 edition in South Korea and Japan, as it is the first time in history that the tournament has been held during the winter.
The starting kick in the World Cup 2022 will be the opening confrontation between Qatar and its counterpart, Ecuador, which is scheduled to be held at six in the evening today, Sunday, Cairo time, at the “Al -Bayt” stadium in Al -Khor City.

The first group includes the 2022 World Cup, Qatar, the Netherlands, Senegal and Ecuador.
The host house stadium is located to open the World Cup in the city of Al -Khor, where it can accommodate about 60,000 spectators.
Besides the opening match of the 2022 World Cup, Stadium will host many other matches until the semi -finals, perhaps the most prominent of which is Germany with Spain, England with the United States of America.

Italian referee Daniele Orangeo is scheduled to lead for the opening of the 2022 World Cup, which brings together Qatar national team, the host of the tournament with its team Ecuador.
The 46 -year -old Italian referee is one of the most prominent European referees in recent years, and has led many strong matches, whether in the Italian League or the Champions League.

Orangeo led 13 games during the current season in various competitions, and the most famous yellow card is 50 yellow cards and one red card.
