The Arabic translation of the novel “The Sands of the Sands” by Indian writer Gitanjali Shri, which won the International Booker Award for 202, was issued by an imprisonment and distribution house.
Gitanjali’s novel was published for the first time in Indian in 2018, entitled “Ret Samadi”, a novel that follows the transformations of a woman who was depressed after the death of her husband, then decided to travel to Pakistan to face a shock without a solution.

She wrote in the editorial of the novel: “Once you get a writer on women and borders, the story can write themselves, women are stories in themselves, full of excitement and whispers that float in the wind, which bends with each tremor of grass.

In one of the television interviews, Gitanjali Shri said: “The novel tells international human stories regardless of her cultural background, and there are many stories that met in the book, but it is also the story of an old woman who gradually got up from the deathbed to re -invent her life. ”
The Sand of the Sand of Sand received great reviews in India, and the Hindu newspaper said about the novel, for example: “The novel is an amazingly influential story about never ending stories.

The Tomb of Sand, a translator of the Manb Booker International Prize, said that Tomb of Sand was one of the most difficult works that she has ever translated because of the “experimental nature” of Gitanjali Shri’s writings and “its unique use of language”, but added that the experience was also “great pleasure”.
