The Nobel International Prize celebrated the birth anniversary of Yuan Tsi Lee, an American Taiwanese chemist, born in this year 19 November 1936, in Sen Shuo, north of Taiwan.
Yuan Tsi Li studied in his city and then at the National University of Taiwan, from which he obtained a degree in science in 1959. In 1961 he obtained a master’s degree from Tasnjo National University and then on a doctorate from the University of California in Berkeley in 1965.

In 1974 Yuan Tsi Lee returned to the University of California in Berkeley to work as a chemist, as he got in the same year of American citizenship. In 1979 he joined the National Academy of Science. He worked as head of a Chinese academy in Taiwan until the end of 2005.

Yuan Tsi Lee was also received the Nobel Prize in the 1986 chemistry in partnership with Hungarian-Canadian John Bolani and American Dadley Hirschback, for “their contributions regarding the dynamics of the initial chemical operations.


Yuan Tsi Li played an important role in the Taiwanese presidential elections for the year 2000, where he announced his support for the candidate Chen Shui Bayan a week ago by the elections and the latter won the elections, but he opposed Chen and the policy of the Progressive Democratic Party in their second presidential role as a result of increasing political tension with China and their desire to independence Taiwan ..
