It was recently released by the Arabic Translation Text Little House for the novel “A Woman, Etc. “, by British writer Bernardine Evaristo, a poker award for the year 2019 by the translation of Tunisian writer and poet Ashraf Al -Qarqni.

The novel deals with a flowing narration that extends over the century by twenty years, tales intertwined for eleven women who are combined by the pain of loss and exposure to intolerance, abandonment and persecution, as they share that they were born in black British women or colors in a society that is difficult to accept without racism and rejection that take the various forms of possible forms.

Through the chapters of the novel, the writer gives the room for each character to speak in her name, voice and rhythm, and the addition of multiple voices constitutes a comprehensive voice with life and passion, in what is known as the narrative of the voices that is a method of modern narration.
Bernardine Evaristo is the first British black woman to win the 2019 Booker Award in 2019 in conjunction with Canadian great writer Margaret Atwood.

Bernardine Evaristo was born in the southeast London city of Wolwich, of Nigerian origin, and she obtained a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of London and participated in 1982 in the establishment of the Black Women Theater Company. Evaritsu also established a writer development agency and received the MBE Prize in 2009 for its services in The field of literature, the International Bronil International Prize for African Poetry..
