Italy is taking measures to reduce the price of fuel until next October

The Italian government has extended a subsidy scheme that would keep gasoline prices low for Italian motorists and motorists until the beginning of next October.
The Finance and Environmental Transformation Ministers, Danielle Francesco and Roberto Cingolani, announced on Wednesday that the prolongation meant a 30 cent (0.30 dollar) drop in the price of gasoline, diesel, and liquefied petroleum gas per litre.

The Italian government is striving to reduce fuel prices, which have climbed in recent months owing to supply constraints caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Some lawmakers have advocated for the present election campaign to be halted so that the parties may work together to find a solution for reduced residential and business pricing.

Even Giorgia Meloni, head of the far-right Brothers of Italy party and the leading opposition favourite to win the September 25 elections, has shown interest in a parliamentary session to consider the country’s alternatives.
