Tehran: The decision of atomic energy on the discovery of uranium will affect cooperation with us

Iran’s delegate to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Mohsen Nadiri, rejected the decision issued by the Agency Governor Council on his country, and stressed that its approval may affect Iran’s cooperation with the agency.

Commenting on the decision, Nadiri said: “The Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency was subjected to severe pressure in its meeting today, as the politicians of the United States, Britain, France and Germany issued a decision against the peaceful nuclear activities of our country.

He added: “During the research in this case, supporters of the draft resolution submitted false information and baseless allegations to justify their non -constructive approach towards the Board of Governors and tried to use this meeting as a tool to follow up on the short -sighted political goals and exceed the agency’s framework and its powers. ”
He pointed out that Iran’s peaceful nuclear program is currently one of the most transparent programs among the agency’s member states.

And he added: “The political goals of the adoption of this anti -Iran decision will not be achieved, but its approval can affect the process of cooperation and constructive interaction by the Islamic Republic of Iran with the agency.

He stressed that Iran, while adhering to the principle of fulfillment of the covenant in implementing its international obligations, will remain fixed and designed in defending the interests and rights of the country and facing the pressures and transgressions of the United States and Western countries.

Earlier, the Council of the International Atomic Energy Agency Governors adopted a resolution requesting Iran to cooperate in an investigation into the discovery of uranium effects in three unannounced sites.
Iran insisted this year in Vienna talks on a return to the joint comprehensive action plan to complete the investigation of the International Atomic Energy Agency in the effects of enriched uranium that was found in sites unrelated to Iran’s nuclear program.
