The Minister of Oil and the Environment and the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs in Bahrain, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dinah, praised the success of the Conference of the Parties in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change “COP 27” held in Sharm El -Sheikh, expecting to result in many gains, especially for developing countries to achieve their goals in combating Climate change.

The minister said in a special meeting with the Egyptian Al -Awal channel on the sidelines of the climate conference, “Funding, providing technology and raising capabilities for developing countries is one of the most important obstacles facing the implementation phase, but in” COP 27 “I see a complete commitment from developed countries towards developing countries.


He added that the Kingdom of Bahrain put on itself obligations at the “Glasgow” conference on the issue of climate change, the first of which is the bile neutrality in 2060, and the second is the commitment in 2035 to reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide by 30% through several initiatives, including the national plan for afforestation and planting approximately From 4 million trees to 2035, at a rate of 140,000 trees annually, an increase of 4 times the mangroves and the construction of the largest manger nursery in Bahrain with a capacity of one million seedlings.
