Kuwait cares about developments in Iraq and calls on all parties to make peace

The State of Kuwait has stated that it is interested in observing the developments in Iraq, and it appeals to all parties for calm, prudence, and cooperation in the best interests of Iraq.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement today urging all sides to show moderation, give up violence, prioritise dialogue and their nation’s highest good.

Stressing Kuwait’s support for the Iraqi government and people and its hope that security and stability will prevail throughout, in order to protect its gains and spare the blood of its people.
While the Iranian embassy in Baghdad requested that its citizens delay going to Iraq, the Kuwaiti embassy insisted that its citizens leave the country immediately.

The Kuwaiti Embassy in Baghdad urged Kuwaitis who wanted to visit Iraq to put off their trip because of the current circumstances. According to the official Kuwaiti News Agency, the embassy asked Kuwaiti citizens who are currently in Iraq to leave and get in touch with it. Through its Twitter account, the Iranian embassy in Baghdad issued a request to all Iranian tourists and residents who were present in the holy shrine cities, including them.

While critics charge the army with often deploying disproportionate force, Israel claims that teens and women frequently engage in violence.
Israel also detains more than 600 Palestinians in administrative detention, the greatest number in six years, without accusation or trial.

Kuwait is concerned about the situation in Iraq and urges all parties to work toward peace.
