Germany defeated its Omani host 1-0 on Wednesday, at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat, at the last station of “Mancheft” before the World Cup in Qatar, which starts on Sunday.
Germany, thanks to this victory, condemns the substitute Niklas Volcog, the striker of Werder Bremen, who scored the only goal of the match in the 80th minute.
This victory is the second for Germany over Oman, after it also settled the first match between them 2-0 in 1998 on the same field.
Germany begins its matches in the Qatar Finals against Japan on the 23rd of this month, in the fifth group competitions, which also includes Spain and Costa Rica.
For its part, Oman is preparing for the twenty -fifth Gulf Cup competitions “Khaleeji 25”, which will be held in Basra, Iraq in January 2023, and will play another friendly match on the 20th of the current against Belarus in the UAE city of Al Ain.
