Muqtada al-Sadr offered his condolences to the families of the victims of the demonstrations that erupted in the Green Zone in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, calling on the authorities to provide them with compensation.

Al-Sadr said in a statement: I ask God to forgive those who took up arms, and I ask them to ask forgiveness a lot and not to return to such work in the future, whether you are alive or dead.

Today, Tuesday, the organizing committee for the coordination framework demonstrations announced the end of the sit-in near the Suspension Bridge in central Baghdad.

A statement by the committee stated: “Our proud Iraqi people, our authentic Iraqi clans, elites, intellectuals, poets and voices of truth, the masses of defending the state and institutions, we salute your patience, courage and steadfastness in the sit-in to defend the state and legitimacy over the past weeks despite all the threats you have faced, especially during the past two days.” .

He added, “This brave patriotic stance is added to the record of your bright stances that you stood by in defending the homeland and the state against all attacks of terrorism and chaos, so return to your homes safely and securely and always be fully prepared to respond to the call of the nation if it cries for us.”

And the statement continued: Thank you to our proud people, thank you to our security forces and their great cooperation, thank you to the security heroes of the Popular Mobilization who pushed evil against the protesters, thank you to our clans that answered the call of the homeland and the state .. Thank you to everyone who responded, attended, protested and supported, especially the dear crowd and resistance fans and their outstanding media.
