Eng. Ahmed Samir, Minister of Trade and Industry, met Giorgi Borisinko, Russia’s ambassador to Cairo, to discuss ways to develop Egyptian -Russian economic relations in various industrial, commercial, tourism and investment sectors.
The minister said that the meeting stressed the importance of strengthening trade relations between the two countries, especially since the Russian market represents one of the most important global markets receiving for Egyptian exports, as well as following up the developments of the project to establish the Russian industrial zone in Egypt, which is scheduled to be established in the economic zone of the Suez Canal, which represents the axis of the enforcement of Russian exports For the markets of Arab countries and the countries of the African continent.
For his part, Giorgi Borisinko, Russia’s ambassador to Cairo, stressed that the Egyptian -Russian relations are close and distinguished in various fields and at all levels, noting the importance of the project to establish the Russian industrial zone in Egypt, which will contribute to the development of joint economic and investment relations between the two countries..
