Moscow: Western sanctions will not prevent Russia and Iran from developing cooperation between them

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Western sanctions will not hinder Russia and Iran from pursuing mutually beneficial relations.
According to a statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, “we seek to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with Iran in the interest of regional stability and international security, and we intend to improve in all areas of long-term Russian-Iranian ties.”

The aggressive actions of unfriendly Western nations and unlawful restrictive measures against our country will not dissuade Russia’s willingness to develop its multifaceted and mutually beneficial collaboration with the Republic of Iran in all spheres, according to the statement.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated on Monday that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian would undertake a business visit to Moscow on Wednesday and meet with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov.

According to the Russian Ministry, Lavrov and Abdollahian will discuss a variety of major international topics, including the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on Iran’s nuclear programme, as well as the situations in Yemen, Ukraine, Syria, Afghanistan, Transcaucasia, and the Caspian Sea.

Moscow: Western sanctions will not prevent Russia and Iran from expanding their collaboration.
