During the meeting, the Minister of International Cooperation reviewed the steps and initiatives launched by the Ministry of International Cooperation during the COP27 Climate Conference, in light of the Vision of National Development 2030 and to enhance the National Climate Change Strategy 2050, where partnership agreements and intentions were launched on the national platform for green projects “Nawvi”, to implement 9 priority projects in the water, food and energy sectors, as well as the issuance of the Sharm El Sheikh guide for fair financing, which sets an international framework for innovative financing on stimulating climate work and increasing financing for green projects, especially in developing countries and emerging economies.

“Al -Mashat” indicated that the Ministry of International Cooperation is working to take many steps to advance the efforts of the green transformation through the national platform for green projects “Nawafi”, and that in light of Egypt’s presidency of the COP27 climate conference over the next twelve months, Egypt will work to promote the program And other efforts aimed at green transformation.

For its part, the Dutch Minister of International Cooperation stressed that the Dutch side is keen to enhance future cooperation with the Egyptian government and participate in the national platform for green projects “Nuvi”, praising the efforts made by the Ministry of International Cooperation in the field of green projects financing.

The bilateral cooperation between the two sides was discussed with regard to current and future projects and discussed the current development cooperation portfolio, and the two sides agreed to hold bilateral meetings in Cairo to discuss ways to enhance the current cooperation and discuss new cooperation prospects within the framework of the program.

It is worth noting that the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Netherlands have been linked to joint economic cooperation relations since 1975 through technical and financial agreements, and the volume of cooperation portfolio between the two sides is 348 million euros, to finance projects in several sectors, including agriculture, irrigation, industry and health..
