The feed crisis is exacerbated in Egypt … and demanding urgent intervention

Despite the low rates of fodder globally, it is still witnessing a crazy rise in Egypt, where Representative Mohamed Abdullah Zainuddin, a member of the House of Representatives, the Secretary of the “Future of the Nation” party made an urgent request to the government.
He explained that despite the low rates of fodder globally by about 50%, it is still facing a remarkable increase, which led to a significant increase in the prices of meat, poultry and eggs, he said.

“There are efforts by the government taking place in this regard, but they are not sufficient, especially with regard to the quantities that are released from the ports, which requires the speed of intervention to end the crisis. ”
The deputy stressed that the liberalization of the exchange rate affected the high feed prices, especially since it is dependent on import from abroad, which led to the increase in the burdens on importers, and thus the high prices on consumers.

Muhammad Zainuddin called on the government to quickly move to further release the feed shipments in the ports, to meet the needs of the breeders, which results in a decrease in prices.
A member of the House of Representatives concluded by emphasizing the government through all the concerned authorities and agencies, the necessity of developing a clear strategy to expand strategic crops to achieve self -sufficiency, and reduce interest in external import.
