The Netherlands will display its World Cup players at auction

The Dutch football team decided to offer the shirts that its players will wear in the 2022 World Cup scheduled in Qatar, for sale at an auction and allocating revenues to migrant workers in Qatar.
The Dutch Football Federation stated in a statement issued on Monday that the returns will be devoted to protecting the rights of migrant workers, by providing legal assistance, personal development of migrant workers and financing social activities such as football.

The Dutch Federation said: “The auction will start after the start of the starting whistle for each of the Netherlands matches in the World Cup and will continue until the start of the next match.

It should be noted that the shirts worn by the Dutch national team players in its matches against Poland and Belgium in the European Nations League were offered for sale at an auction last September, and it won more than 50 thousand euros (51 thousand and 600 dollars) to support migrant workers in Qatar.

The 2022 World Cup in Qatar will open next Sunday, while the Dutch national team will take care of its tournament on Monday by facing its Senegalese counterpart in the first group that includes the teams of Qatar and Ecuador..
