The Ministers of Immigration, Communications and Information Technology discuss the most important joint cooperation files

Dr. Suha Gendy, Ambassador of Egypt, met with the Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad.

The meeting, led by Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, discussed ways for the two ministries to work together to develop technological infrastructure and activate digital transformation within the Ministry of Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, enhancing its efforts to communicate with Egyptians abroad and connect them to the homeland.

Saber Suleiman, Assistant Minister of Immigration for Institutional Development Affairs, Eng. Khaled Al-Attar, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Administrative Development, Digital Transformation, and Mechanization, as well as a number of executive leaders from both ministries, attended.

Jundi stated that the meeting discussed the formation of a committee to discuss the launch of a cooperation protocol to support bilateral cooperation in the most important joint cooperation files, explaining that the next stage will witness fruitful coordination and cooperation between the two ministries at various levels, most notably the study of launching an electronic application that combines all of the benefits and incentives that are being consulted.

Wataniya will foster the relationship between Egyptian citizens living abroad and their home country, as well as serve as a platform for promoting investment possibilities for Egyptians living abroad.
The conference also discussed methods for Egyptians living abroad to benefit from the state’s digital services to help them get official documents, according to the Minister of Immigration.

During the meeting, Talaat emphasised that Egyptians living abroad are a substantial national wealth with a constant desire to serve the country at all levels, and that the ministry and its affiliates are trying to adapt current technology to protect the interests of Egyptians living abroad.

Talaat mentioned the possibility of providing mechanisms that allow Egyptians living abroad to benefit from the digital Egypt platform, which includes 150 government services; he emphasised that these services will benefit a large segment of Egyptians living abroad due to the benefits and facilities they provide, based on determinants that ensure personal registration.

He expressed the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s willingness to collaborate with the Ministry of Immigration to improve communication mechanisms with Egyptians abroad and to provide all support for innovative ideas that would strengthen the ties of Egyptians abroad to the homeland.

The Immigration, Communications, and Information Technology Ministers meet to address the most significant cooperative cooperation issues.
