The Special Border Command of the Nigerian Immigration Department in Jabepia, northwest of Katsina, saved at least 716 people from human trafficking.

The victims were from 229 males and 487 females.

He said: “10 victims were recently intercepted and they were rescued on Thursday at about seven in the evening, as they were about to leave Nigeria on an illegal road to Europe through the Republic of Niger and Libya. ”
According to the financial observer, the victims who were rescued left Kano to the Republic of Niger through the axis of the session -Congolese, but they were intercepted by a periodic team (Sheika) who was aware of their movements in Nigeria.
