British Prime Minister Rishi Sonak stated that Britain is making efforts to strengthen Ukraine before possible negotiations with Russia.
“Our work is to continue helping Ukraine to protect itself and enhance its positions by the moment they choose to reach a negotiating solution,” Sonak said on the eve of the G20 summit in Indonesia on Monday.
Sonak considered that urging Ukraine to negotiations with Russia would be a “honest matter” against the backdrop of Ukrainian infrastructure strikes.
The newspaper “Politico” had previously reported that the administration of US President Joe Biden urges Ukrainian President Vladimir Zellinski to abandon his refusal to hold negotiations with Russia.
It should be noted that Russia has announced that it is open to negotiating with Ukraine, but it does not see a real possibility of negotiations due to the current Kyiv position.
