The Council of Ministers came out today, Monday, to reveal all the details related to the rules implemented for the provisions of the law granting some facilities to Egyptians residing abroad, related to the import of a private ride car that is exempt from taxes and fees in exchange for paying a required cash amount to the Ministry of Finance, which is recovered in the local return after 5 years. The decision issued by Dr.
Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, that the Egyptian who has a legal residence abroad is entitled to import a single private ride for his personal use, exempt from taxes and fees that had to be paid to release the car according to the terms and conditions mentioned in Law No. 161 of 2022 regarding Granting some facilities to Egyptians residing abroad.
This decision comes in exchange for paying the due cash amount specified in accordance with the schedules specified in this regard, and it is transferred from abroad, in favor of the Ministry of Finance in the bank account stipulated in this decision.
The facilities available to Egyptians residing abroad are used to import a car -exempt and fees in the event of the following conditions:
– The car should be on the date of payment of the amount due.
– To be Egyptian.
That you have reached at least 16 years.
– To be enjoying a legal residence in effect abroad, even if you are not already residing abroad.
– That you have a personality, or with your husband/ wife or father/ your mother (in the case of children and husbands), a bank account in the country of residence has been opened at least three months.
– Importing the car is from the first owner without being bound by a specific year of manufacture.
– The student, whether upon the initial registration or the replacement request – must be disclosed – to disclose the special and non -stereotypes of the car.
– Import cars with unnoticed specifications for licensing to run in the country, such as: «cars with the right side- cars with prohibited equipment and settings that cannot be separated from the car without damage or damage to them.
