Nigerian Borno launches a program to protect children at risk

The governor of the Nigerian state of Babagana Zulum, Babagana Zulum, announced a program to protect children at risk (ARC-P), by training 968 young facilitators to direct the weak children to rely on themselves,
As part of the efforts made to address the large number of children who are not enrolled in schools in the northeast of the country.

(ARC-P) is an ambitious and strategic initiative for the federal government, under the supervision of the Vice President’s office, and is led by Special Adviser to the President for Social Investment Affairs, Maryam Uwais.
The program is a solution to the long -term weaknesses, to support children who lack social protection and the luxury of basic education.

However, the ruler Zulum said that the program and other federal government social investment programs are in line with the development plan developed by its administration for 25 years.
Zuaira Gambo, a woman of women’s affairs, praised President Mohamed Bukhari to provide various social investment programs aimed at improving the lives of citizens, especially young people, women and children affected by the crimes of Boko Haram, which exceeds 12 years.

The governor said that the social investment program was related to investment in individuals, which was part of a 10 -year agenda in Borno, adding that the government has implemented many projects directed towards strengthening the steadfastness of people affected by the rebellion.
Zolum affirmed the continuation of partnership and cooperation between his administration and the state, the federal government and other donor agencies.

The trainees called for the good use of acquired knowledge to change the future of children in the country.
Earlier, Maryam Owais said that the federal government was concerned about the ordeal of children at risk, especially children who are not enrolled in schools of more than 20. 5 million, and from here (ARC-P) was entered to reduce the number of weak women.

Grace Akpabio, said that the main goal of the program is to reduce the risks associated with youth, children and other weak women through education, health and empowerment of youth and children.

Wakilbe’s agent attributed this high number to Boko Haram’s rebellion, adding that the number of orphan children has not been confirmed yet..
