The start of the seventh session of the Luxor Festival for Arabic Poetry .. Know the details

The seventh session of the Luxor Festival for Arab Poetry will start next Tuesday, from November 15 to 18 in the “House of Poetry” in Luxor, under the auspices of the Minister of Culture and Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

40 poets from 18 Egyptian governorates participate in the festival, in a program full of cultural seminars and poetic readings in the House of Poetry in Luxor, in addition to the signing of six new poetry collections from the prints of the House of Poetry, artistic paragraphs of authentic singing and individual playing of musical instruments.

The opening ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Luxor Culture Palace at 11 am, and forty poets from 18 Egyptian governorates will participate in the festival in a program full of cultural seminars, and poetic readings in the House of Poetry in Luxor, in addition to the signing of six new poetry collections from the Poetry House publications for the year 2022, artistic paragraphs of authentic singing and individual playing of musical instruments.

The festival also witnesses the opening of an exhibition for Arabic calligraphy with the participation of twenty -five Arabic calligraphy artists, in addition to a paragraph of folk arts and heritage. The festival will also witness a wide participation of the youth of poets and a diversity in generations and forms of poetic creativity.

The festival will be held, in cooperation with the southern region of Upper Egypt, and the public library of Egypt, and continues for four days full of hair and music, in addition to visits to archaeological and tourist areas in Luxor.
This session is the culmination of the activity of the house in a full year of cultural events that are concerned with poetry and its issues, and discusses the relationship of poetry and its interference with other arts.

The sixth session of the Poetry Festival witnessed the holding of several activities, including a critical session that discusses (transformations of Arabic poetry), as it was accompanied by a plastic art exhibition entitled “Shadow threads” with the participation of twenty -five artists from professors and students of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Luxor, in addition to artistic and folklore paragraphs, and tours Tourist to keep pace with Egypt’s celebration at the time of the opening of the rams road.
