Belgium coach Roberto Martinez confirmed that the current generation of Red Devils deserves crowning the World Cup title, wishing to win the upcoming World Cup in Qatar 2022.
Egypt is preparing to face Belgium in the State of Kuwait next Friday, as part of the Red Devils team’s preparation for the 2022 World Cup.
“In Belgium, I can work as if I was leading a club, not a team, I train the national team for a relatively small country, with a population of 11 million, and a group consisting of 55 players,” Martinez said in comments published by the newspaper “Toto Sport”.
He added: “Our generation of talent deserves a title.
Belgian football is not needed, but this will give more importance to a movement that has changed and will change football in Belgium for the next twenty years, I hope to crown the World Cup. ”
He continued: “The future? The World Cup is the end of a tournament, then we will decide, all of this depends on what the federation wants to do and what I want to do, we haven’t talked about it yet.
”
