French President Emmanuel Macron will travel to attend the FIFA World Cup in Qatar if his country’s team arrives at the final or semi -finals, according to what the Elysee Palace announced on Monday.
The French presidency said that he “told them, and wrote to them a letter” that he will go to Qatar if his country reached the semi -finals and the final.
On Sunday, the first World Cup in the Middle East and in an Arab country will start until December 18.
The semi -final matches will be held on December 13 and 14.
Four years ago, Macron from the Luzhniki Stadium in the Russian capital, Moscow, witnessed the crowning of the “Duke team” as a champion for the second time after 1998 at home at the Stadium de France on the outskirts of the capital, Paris.
France signed in the World Cup in Qatar, in Group D, along with Australia, Denmark and Tunisia.
