“The Russian soldiers, who were unable to withdraw from the Jeresson region with their units, wore civilian clothes in an attempt to evade arrest and accountability for war crimes,” said Ukrainian Security and Defense Secretary Olixi Danilov.
The Ukrainian National News Agency, “Yokrinform”, said today, Monday, that Danilov said in statements to the National TV: “In fact, a certain part (Russian military) is worn civilian clothes to hide and avoid accountability.
”
Meanwhile, Danilov said that the Ukrainian security and army are carrying out the necessary inspections in the region, including at road barriers.
He added that the officials of the security apparatus had already boasted, during a meeting chaired by President Folodimir Zellinski yesterday, with some arrests, he said.
