The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development supports six smart green projects in Egypt

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development announced the agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, to provide support to 6 small and medium -sized companies from the winning projects of the National Initiative for Smart Green Enterprises, at the meeting of Ambassador Hisham Badr, the general coordinator of the initiative, Reem Al -Saadi, the regional director of the Financing and Development Program for Small Enterprises.

Ambassador Hisham Badr explained that six of the 18 projects that won the initiative were chosen to give them a comprehensive package of technical support, training and consulting services for business.

Badr added that the agreement that is about to sign between the two parties represents strong support for the selected projects, which is a positive step that will contribute to increasing green and smart projects, as the agreement will contribute to providing technical support for these small projects, which achieves the highest goal by following the winning projects and supporting ideas and innovations to reach their goals.

On the importance of the National Initiative for Smart Green Enterprises, Badr explained that in light of being an unprecedented initiative and represents a qualitative shift, it was necessary to implement three main matters represented in defining clear criteria, as well as the rehabilitation and training of the executive committees in the governorates, with a unified model for evaluation.

It is worth noting that the six projects that were chosen include the Rabbit Project, the Noornation Project, the Engazat Project, as well as the Banalstic project, in addition to Kadet El Mostakbal projects, Archtech, where services will be provided under the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, for the small business program that includes more than one 400 qualified local business consultants and 1500 international experts, as the bank works mainly on developing the private sector and turning into the green economy.
