Ancelotti: My bet was successful

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed today, following the difficult 3-1 victory over Espanyol in the third round of La Liga, that the Real coach’s bet was successful, referring to the inclusion of the young French midfielder Edward Camavinga in the second half to give the team more intensity in the game.
After the encounter at Corlanella El Prat, Ancelotti reiterated that he intervened with the second-half changes, saying: “Every game has its own conditions.”

Perhaps if you had started with Camavinga, we would not have had as much control over the game. You place a wager, and sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. Camavinga’s vigour was really beneficial to us throughout the match’s sluggish pace.
The Italian coach also stated that the squad started the game extremely well, while conceding that playing with one block withdrew after the first goal advanced the outcome.

When questioned about Belgian sensation Eden Hazard, who stayed on the bench during the Espanyol encounter, he made it plain that involving the player would break the team’s balance. In this respect, he stated, “I have great trust in the player, regardless of whether or not he participates in a match.” He will have ample time to participate. I’m not the manager of Hazard, Benzema, or Camavinga; I’m the manager of Real Madrid.

Ancelotti: My wager paid out.
