The Iranian judiciary issued a death sentence against a person against the background of his involvement in “riots”, according to official sources today, Sunday, in the first maximum sentence announced against the background of the protests in the country nearly two months ago.
As of September 16, protests erupted in the aftermath of the death of the young Muhsa Amani (22 years), three days after she was arrested by the Ethics Police because of her strict rules of dress.

Dozens, including members of the security forces, were spent on the sidelines of the protests interspersed with the raising of anti -authorities, and officials considered a large part, including “riots”. The judiciary also brought different charges for at least two thousand arrested.

“A judgment was issued to execute a person who burned a government center, which was charged with violating public order, gathering and conspiracy with the aim of committing a crime against national security, war and corruption on the ground,” according to the “Mizan Online” website of the judicial authority today.

The site did not mention details about the identity of the convict, but it indicated that the action taken came during a trial for a number of involvement “in riots in Tehran Governorate” in recent weeks.
He added that five other defendants received sentences between 5 and 10 years in prison, to be convicted of “gathering and conspiracy with the aim of committing crimes against national security” and “violating the system and public property.


He stressed that all rulings are issued by the Court of First Instance and subject to appeal.
The judicial authority has previously announced the charge of more than two thousand people against the background of the protests, a number of them face charges that may be sentenced to death in Iran, such as “Harba” and “corruption on the ground”.

Earlier on Sunday, Iranian media reported that the judiciary was accused of about 800 people for their recent “riots” in the governorates of Hormuzakan (south), Isfahan and Maktzi (center).
“Mezzan” quoted the Prosecutor of Hormuzakan to announce the charge of 164 people, “accused of involvement in recent riots against security” in the province.

They are accused of “gathering and conspiracy against the security of the country”, “propaganda against the regime”, “violating public order”, “riot”, “incitement to killing”, “injury to security elements with injuries” and “damage to public property”.
For his part, the prosecutor in Isfahan Governorate referred to 316 cases related to the recent “riots”, while the Prosecutor in the Markhi Governorate announced the charge to 276 people, according to the official news agency “IRNA”..
