The Iranian judicial authorities charged about 800 people for their recent “riots that occurred” in the governorates of Hormuzan, Isfahan and Maktazi, according to Iranian media.
The Iranian judiciary figures indicated that more than 2,200 people were charged, half of them in Tehran, since the protests began two months ago.
The Mizan Online website, affiliated with the Judicial Authority, quoted the Public Prosecutor in Hormuzan Governorate, his announcement of the charge to 164 people, “accused of involvement) in recent riots against security” in this province.
The site added that “on the sidelines of a visit to the detention center in Hormuzan Governorate, the Prosecutor in the governorate, Mujtaba Qahramani, announced that 164 people were arrested in the recent disturbances, who will be tried from Thursday in the presence of lawyers”, to defend them, as they were accused of “gathering and conspiracy against the security of the country” and “Advertising against the system”, “breaching public order”, “riots”, “incitement to killing”, “injury to security elements with injuries” and “damage to public property”.

He emphasized that 12 of those who were accused were tried.
The Prosecutor in the Central Governorate of Abdul -Mahdi Mousavi also announced the charge of 276 people, according to what was reported by the “IRNA” agency.
The release of 100 young men who were arrested in recent riots without trial after they pledged to stop participating in “riots”, while Iran has been witnessing protests since September 16 after the death of Muhsa Amini (22 years) days after its arrest by the Ethics Police.
