Real Madrid defeated Espanyol by three goals in the game that brought the two clubs together this evening, Sunday, in the third round of the Spanish League La Liga.
Real Madrid took the lead in the 12th minute through Brazilian midfielder Vinicius Junior, but Joselo equalised in the 44th minute, bringing the first half to a close.
Karim Benzema scored Real Madrid’s second goal in the 88th minute, and then the player himself scored the third goal in the final minute of stoppage time to lead his Real Madrid club to victory over Espanyol.
As a consequence, Real Madrid moved up to ninth position in the Spanish league rankings, while Espanyol’s balance froze at one point at sixteenth place.
