According to Russia today, US National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby stated that the US believes shutting down the reactors at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine to be the safest alternative.
According to a representative for the US National Security Council, “we continue to think that an orderly shutdown of the reactors at the Zaporizhia nuclear facility would be the safest and least risky alternative.”
Earlier, Russia’s representative to the United Nations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, confirmed that the IAEA delegation consists of approximately 15 officials from the International Atomic Energy Agency’s secretariat who are nuclear security specialists, as well as a large team of United Nations personnel who handle logistical and security issues.
Washington: The safest approach is to shut down the reactors at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.
