British Intelligence: Russia wants to start military training in schools

The British Ministry of Defense said that Russia wants to implement a mandatory military training system in schools before recruitment, noting that intelligence information is that Moscow plans to start 140 hours of annual training in schools as of September 2023 onwards.

The ministry said that these plans are to revive a program that belongs to the Soviet era, which stopped in 1993, and included preparing for nuclear and chemical attacks, in addition to a first aid cycle and training in the use of guns.

The British ministry’s decades said that the program, which was announced by Russian Minister of Education, Sergei Kravstov, earlier in November, at which the Russian officials tried to revive the training that took place in 2014 after the Russian invasion of the Crimea semi -island in the hope of improving the quality of recruits.
