Detroit police search for fatal ‘random shooting’

The FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives were assisting police in their hunt for a suspect on Sunday afternoon.
Detroit Police Chief James White encouraged locals to be cautious and to phone 911 if they know the suspect’s identification or whereabouts.
White stated, “What we want to accomplish today is get him off the street.” He went on to say that authorities have linked all four shootings to a single handgun and thought there was only one perpetrator.

Investigators, he added, did not believe there was any link between the victims, noting that one was walking a dog and the other was waiting for a bus when they were shot.
He went on to say that about 4:45 a.m. on Sunday, officers discovered a woman in her forties who had been shot many times.
While authorities were investigating the deadly shooting, a witness stated that a 28-year-old man had been shot numerous times nearby.

A third victim, a lady in her forties, was discovered in the neighbourhood about 6:50 a.m. and died after being shot numerous times, according to police.
An elderly guy reported seeing a stranger peering at the automobiles at 7:10 a.m.
According to police, when the old guy begged the individual to move away from the automobiles, the shooter shot the old man, who survived.
