ASEAN Summit begins its work without Biden

After waiting for a half-hour, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations’ work was started without US Vice President Joe Biden.
According to Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian foreign ministry, the East Asian Summit in Cambodia started without US President Joe Biden, who had been waiting for 30 minutes.
The EAS Summit in Cambodia—not to be confused with Colombia—was held without Biden, according to Zakharova. After a 30-minute wait, Biden did not show up.

In an earlier statement, US President Joe Biden accidentally thanked Cambodi for organising the ASEAN summit rather than the “Colombian” leadership.
The East Asia Summit serves as a forum for discussion between the presidents of the nations in the Asia and Pacific region on issues pertaining to political character, development, and the encouragement of effective international cooperation.
