Toronto embarks on 12-hour ‘pothole repair blitz’ Saturday

Crews in Toronto will spend the majority of Saturday patching potholes on the city’s main roads and expressways because winter is just around the corner.
On Saturday at 6 a.m., a 12-hour “pothole repair blitz” started, and it will last until 6 p.m.
“Residents driving or cycling on Saturday are advised to expect minor delays around pothole crews,” the City of Toronto said.
“The public is urged to practise safety by observing work zones and allowing crews room to work while repairs are being made.

” City officials said 171,000 potholes had been repaired since the start of the year with 7,180 mended between Oct. 31 and Nov. 4.
According to the city, it costs about $25 to repair each pothole.

On Saturday, Toronto will conduct a 12-hour “pothole repair blitz.”
