Today, Saturday, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken emphasised that Ukraine will decide the timing and details of any negotiations with Russia.
Blinkin and his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmitro Coliba, stressed in a meeting between them in the Cambodian capital, Bennah, the importance of renewing the agreement to export grain across the Black Sea before its inception on November 19.
While the US State Department said in a statement that Blinken assured Collea the “fixed” commitment of Washington to the help of Ukraine in alleviating the effects of “Russian attacks on vital infrastructure, including humanitarian aid. ”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was quoted earlier today by the Russian (Sputnik) agency as saying that Moscow has not yet decided whether to extend the agreement for the export of grains from Ukraine through the Black Sea ports.
She continued by saying that Moscow “cannot avoid” enforcing the agreement reached with the UN regarding the export of its agricultural products.
It is noteworthy that the United Nations has expressed hope that the export of food and fertilizers from Russia to international markets without any obstacles.
The agreement comes to an end with the agreement that permits the export of food and fertiliser across the Black Sea from a number of Ukrainian ports, which was mediated on July 22 by the United Nations and Turkey, and which would be extended on November 19 if Russia or Ukraine objected.
