Hundreds of people gathered in London, Ontario, yesterday to protest the University of Western Ontario’s COVID-19 vaccination mandates.
Demonstrators marched around the campus in southwestern Ontario, listening to speakers criticise the school’s decision to require supplementary doses of the vaccination for employees, students, and certain visitors.
Organizer Kendra Hancock believes that the rally will result in public talks and increased student consultation over the university’s standards, which include enforced masking in classes.
Western is the only institution in Canada that requires booster injections for all employees and students.
